Dr. Majed Ramadan Currently, as an Associate Research Scientist at the Population Health section at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Majed is a public health professional holding both a Master and Doctor of Public Health in Biostatistics and Health Policy. Recognized for his groundbreaking contributions, with an experience spanning over eight years, he has left a footprint on the field through his involvement in nearly 50 scientific publications. Majed is a senior collaborator with the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study and has contributed to three publications as a coauthor in The Lancet. The GBD study is the largest and most comprehensive effort to quantify health loss across places and over time, so health systems can be improved and disparities eliminated. Majed’s passion lies in unraveling the complexities of public health, digging into diverse research projects encompassing mental health disorders, substance use disorder, and the transformative effects of COVID-19 on human behaviors.
