Vision
The Alumni Unit’s Vision is to promote providing Saudi as well as the International Health community with highly skilled graduates who excel in Knowledge, Professionalism, and Research, with the purpose of advancing the University’s excellence.
Mission
KSAU-HS Alumni Unit’s mission is to maintain, foster, and support mutual and outstanding relationships between KSAU-HS, its alumni, and the health community nationally and internationally. It endeavors to promote high-quality skills and the reliability of the university alumni. This could be achieved through communications, training programs, and shared research between university faculty members, alumni, and the health community. The Alumni Unit achieves such goals through creative and renewable means, which help to achieve the mission and enhance the University’s excellence.
Objectives
- Continuous communication with the alumni to create a comprehensive database encompassing all the alumni.
- Connecting the alumni with the college students through the Career Counseling and Development program to exchange experiences and provide support.
- Providing support and guidance to senior students and fresh graduates as they step into the professional world.
- Providing career exploration, skill-building, and self-reflection by conducting career-specific seminars, one-to-one guidance, advisory services, resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and publishing graduate directories.
- Assisting students in finding the right organizations based on their interests.
- Connecting a group of medical trainees/interns with physicians (including residents) to facilitate peer-to-peer and physician-to-trainee mentorship.
- Provide emotional support: Offer counseling services to address the emotional well-being of final-year medical students and interns, helping them navigate stress, burnout, and emotional challenges.
